
DR. SEMPLE, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Semple is the new Medical Director at the Buford L. Rolin Health Clinic. In 2019, Dr. Semple completed a 30-year career in the U.S. military that included time serving worldwide as both a family physician and healthcare executive with the U.S. Navy, as well as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Subsequent to military retirement, Dr. Semple worked as a staff physician at the U.S. Diplomatic Support Hospital of the U.S. Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq; primary care physician at the Veterans Health Administration Joint Ambulatory Care Clinic at Pensacola, FL; and, most recently, as Chief Medical Officer in support of the U.S. State Department’s Afghan Special Immigrant Visa Program, Operation Enduring Welcome, at the U.S. Rhine Ordnance Barracks Base, Germany.
Originally from Erie, PA, Dr. Semple graduated from the Pennsylvania State University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed the Navy residency training programs in both Family Medicine and Aerospace Medicine at Pensacola, FL, and received a Master of Public Health degree from the University of West Florida. He has been board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine since 2001.
Dr. Semple lives in Pensacola with his wife and two sons. While off duty, he enjoys spending time with his family traveling across America and the world, in addition to being outdoors hiking, camping, boating, fishing, shooting, and hunting.
